Gray & Dick support Kilsyth Athletic

This football season, Gray & Dick are pitching in and bringing a touch of glass to the nation's football pyramid by sponsoring our very own Assistant Quantity Surveyor, Callum Guthrie. 
 
During the working week, you’ll find Callum at our Glasgow hub, completing his duties to the high standards on which we pride ourselves. 
 
When Saturday comes though, Callum lines up at the heart of a Kilsyth Athletic team led by Scotland’s youngest manager in 22 year-old Bailey Hanlon.  
 
Despite his young age, Hanlon brings a wealth of experience to the dugout, having coached  at Hamilton Academicals and Stenhousemuir - and with Callum anchoring his defence Athletic have already tasted success. 

 
A second place finish in 2022/23 saw the North Lanarkshire outfit secure promotion from the West of Scotland Football League Fourth Division, collecting four clean sheets in the process of narrowly missing out on the title by just a single point.
 
This season Callum will be looking to kick on as Athletic launch an assault on three fronts; the Division Four campaign hopefully being joined by successful runs in the West of Scotland and Strathclyde Demolition Cup competitions with Gray & Dick behind him every step of the way.
 
On their website, the volunteer-run club lists one of their missions as being “to develop skilled, confident and creative individuals.” In the case of Callum, we would say both on and off the pitch, it’s very much a mission accomplished.
